    Arrive at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

    Activities for today: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Chengdu Chuancai Museum

    07:30 AM, meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby. We will then drive about 1 hour to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. This facility is home to over 100 giant pandas and one of the most important panda scientific research centers in China. Giant pandas in different ages are raised separately and you will find giant panda nursery inside the base. In the nursery, we will take a look at the adorable newborn pandas with pink skins. There is a feeding time during 9:00 - 11:00 when giant pandas are the most active in a day. While wandering around enclosures shaded by bamboo forest, we can see giant pandas rolling, eating, and playing with each other. Some naughty ones even climb the trees and sit on the branches which can bring you great joy. This base is a habitat for wild animals as well. Besides of giant pandas, you can see a large amount of rare wild animals in the base, such as red pandas, peacocks, swans, and black-necked cranes etc.

    After some happy hours with the lovely pandas, drive about 1 hour to Chengdu Chuancai Museum (Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine Museum) in Pixian County, the only museum in the world with the theme of diet culture. Appreciate 6000 pieces of antiques, artifacts and books and hear many Sichuan food facts, know how Pixian chilly bean paste is made, experience making bean curd pudding, taste different kinds of Sichuan snacks, worship Kitchen God in the biggest Kitchen God Ancestral Hall in the world, partake in the cooking class to personally make three typical Sichuan dishes, like Kung Pao chicken, Mapo Tofu, Panda steamed dumpling, etc. Under the guidance of professional Chuancais chef, learn how to cut, control fire, complete cooking process and accomplish your dish. Share and enjoy your dishes (for dinner) with your families or partner and be awarded with official certificate of "Master of Chuancais".

    After the interesting cooking course, drive back to your Chengdu hotel.

    N.B.
    1. The program of Chuancai Museum starts around 13:50 and ends around 17:40.

    2. The cooking course have two fixed cooking menus. Menu A includes Kung Pao chicken, Mapo Tofu, Panda steamed dumpling. Menu B includes Pumpkin steamed dumplings, Daqian dry-braised fish, boiled beef in chili sauce. If you participate in the cooking course, you need to choose your favorite one and tell us beforehand.

    3. If you want to cook other Sichuan dishes which are not on the above menus, please tell us your needs we'll inform Chuancai Museum to make some preparation.

  • Day3 Chengdu

    Activities for today: Jinsha Site Museum, People's Park, Jinli Old Street, Airport transfer (Chengdu,Guilin)

    After hotel breakfast, we will continue to visit Jinsha Site Museum. Jinsha was the site of the ancient Shu (Shu is the ancient name of Sichuan. Today Sichuan is also officially abbreviated as Shu) Kingdom between 12B.C. and 7A.D. It is famous for the mysterious Shu culture and unique bronze civilization. The museum was onstructed on the Jinsha ruin site. In the museum, you can see many artifacts and everyday products made of gold, bronze, jade, stone, ivory, lacuqered wood and pottery, from which you will learn the daily life of people of 3,000 years ago. The most famous article is the Gold Foil of Sun and Immortal Bird, which has many stories and legends about the patterns on it.

    In the afternoon, we will drive back to the city to visit People's Park, where you can order a pot of tea, have a casual chat and watch locals indulging themselves in different kinds of entertainment - napping, playing Mahjong, disco dancing, giving neck massages, and practicing calligraphy with water on the floor etc.

    Later, you will be an impressive visit to the famous Jinli Old Street. Time will steal away as you quietly walk on the lively streets full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows, and other activities.

    After sightseeing, you are escorted to the airport for the evening flight to Guilin. Upon arrival at Guilin airport, you are picked up to your hotel.

  • Day4 Guilin

    Activities for today: Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill

    The morning will be spent exploring Reed Flute Cave, which is known as "the Palace of Natural Arts". It is a natural limestone cave with multicolored lighting and has been one of Guilin's most interesting attractions for more than 1200 years. It is over 180 million years old. The cave is filled with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites and other rock formations. Inside, there are more than 70 inscriptions written in ink, which can be dated back as far as 792 AD in the Tang Dynasty.

    After some hours, drive back to the city to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill. Elephant Trunk Hill is known as the symbol of Guilin. Any visit to Guilin would not be complete without a visit to the Elephant Trunk Hill.

    The rest of the day is your free time. Some famous places are suggested for your own exploration in the city, such as the lakes in the city center, Zhengyang Pedestrian Street, East and West Lanes. All these places are not far away from the Elephant Trunk Hill. Please inquire your tour guide for some useful information before you say "see you tomorrow".

  • Day5 Guilin/Yangshuo/Guilin

    Activities for today: Li River Cruise, West Street

    Today you'll be heading out to Zhujiang Pier for the Li River Cruise to Yangshuo. You will enjoy a relaxing 3.5-4 hours cruise going down the clear Li River sided by picturesque scenery. Lunch will be the simple Chinese buffet on the aboard. Make sure you bring your camera, as there will be plenty of great photo opportunities!

    Upon arrival at Yangshuo, have a leisure walk on the West Street. Later, drive back to your hotel in Guilin

Between airports / railway station, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing in the cities specified in the itinerary by the private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

All entrance fees to scenic spots as listed above in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of LocalChengduTours. ZTG will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.

All meals as specified in the itinerary. “B” stands for western breakfast “L” for Chinese Lunch in local Chinese restaurant. “D” for Chinese dinner in local Chinese restaurant. The quotation is basic on the above normal meals. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, or Indian food etc, please inform us in advance.
Private tour escort for Sightseeing:
Normal sightseeing activities as outlined in the Itinerary will be escorted with English-speaking guide.
The English-speaking guide and driver of each city accompany you throughout the entire tour in that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.
Accommodation (if include Yangtze Cruiser):
Service based on two adults sharing on one standard twin/double-bed room (cabin); solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate. A single room (cabin) is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar class one.
